United States
It would be impossible to fit all of the highlights of the USA on one page. However, you shouldn't miss out on the wonders of New York, California, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Grand Canyon, Miami, New England and Washington.

New York City
New York City could very well be the Capital of the World with a population of around 7.5 million people. Just a few of the highlights of New York that you must see are the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Central Park and Times Square. There are also some of the best museum’s in the world including The Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim Museum and American Museum of Modern History. New York is also famous for it’s great shopping, food and Broadway theatres.

California
California is exactly like it is portrayed on films with the beaches, Beverley Hills mansions and the fancy cars. There are many places to see here, however, the main attractions are San Fransisco, L.A, Disneyland, Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, Hollywood, Death Valley, Malibu, Kings Canyon, Beverley Hills, Santa Cruz and Sunset Strip.

Las Vegas
Las Vegas is located in Nevada and is the casino capital of the world. Glitter Gulch is the part of the city where you will see possibly the most neon lights you have ever seen. Here you can go out at night and it looks like broad daylight. Vegas Vic and Sassy Sal are located here, two of the best known neon icons in the country. You should also visit The Mirage, Circus Circus, Grand Slam Canyon and the Imperial Palace Auto Museum.

New Orleans
New Orleans is located at the foot of Louisiana. While in New Orleans you can’t miss the French Quarter, which houses all of the signature tourist icons, Bourbon Street with its wild nightlife, Royal Street where you can see an assortment of street musicians, artists, fortune tellers and mimes doing their thing on the sidewalk, the Old US Mint's Mardi Gras Museum, St Louis Cemetery No 1, the Garden District, the Audubon Zoological Gardens, Tulane University, the Voodoo Spiritual Temple, the Historic Voodoo Museum and the Aquarium of the Americas.

Activities and Tours
Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon is located in Arizona and is the most famous natural attraction in the USA. It is definitely a must see attraction on your visit, it is a massive 443km long, 16km wide and 1.6km deep.

Disneyland
Disneyland is a theme park that is located at 1313 South Harbor Boulevard in Anaheim, California, USA. It opened on July 17, 1955. The park is owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company. Currently the park has been visited by more than 515 million guests since it opened to the public, including presidents, royalty, and other heads of state.

Statue of Liberty
This great statue is an American icon and New York's best known landmark. Unfortunately, visitor experience has been significantly marred by post September 11 concerns. You can no longer go up into the body of the statue, just glimpse it from the base, where a specially designed glass ceiling lets you look up into the striking interior.

Death Valley National Park
The name itself evokes all that is harsh and hellish a lifeless place hotter than Satan's hoof. Well, not quite. Closer inspection reveals Death Valley as a timeless medley of canyons, sand dunes, oases and sculpted mountains. Bring plenty of water for yourself and your vehicle.

Niagra Falls
Misty sprays and the majestic scale of this roaring cascade make it a marvellous spectacle. Split between New York and Canada, the Canadian side of the Falls has the more stunning views (as well as a strip of Vegas like attractions including a towering casino), while the New York side has a handful of low-key, natural park offerings.

Travel Tip and useful information
Climate
The overall climate is temperate, with notable exceptions. Alaska has Arctic tundra, while Hawaii and South Florida are tropical. The Great Plains are dry, flat and grassy, turning into arid desert in the far West.

Transport
By far the most convenient form of intercity travel in the U.S. is air travel. Coast to coast travel takes about 6 hours from east to west or 5 hours from west to east (varying due to prevailing winds), compared to the days necessary for land transportation. Passenger trains in the United States are surprisingly scarce and relatively expensive. Intercity bus travel in the United States is widespread, but is not available everywhere. Many patrons use bus travel when other modes aren't readily available, as buses often connect many smaller towns with regional cities.

Currency and credit cards
The official U.S. currency is the United States dollar. Currency exchange centers are rare outside the downtowns of major coastal and border cities, and international airports. You are best to bring dollars with you from your home country. Most automated teller machines (ATMs) can handle foreign bank cards or credit cards bearing Visa/Plus or MasterCard/Cirrus logo.

Safety and Security
Like most things in the US, crime varies greatly depending on the area. Larger cities have higher crime rates, as might be expected. Outside of major cities and urban areas, however, crime rates are usually lower. As always, common sense goes a long way: do not go out alone at night, avoid high crime areas, be wary of strangers, and do not draw attention to yourself.
